Aside from the Cherry Blossom Festival itself, there is a tremendous amount of buzz and excitement around the Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street Festival, produced by the Japan-America Society of Washington D.C.!
Pop quiz—do you remember what you learned in U. S. History class? Of course not! Nobody does. That’s why we added this VIP Capitol Tour to jog your memory. We’re talking three full hours of history, architecture and democracy that will inspire any patriotic spirit—and make your history teacher proud.
Did you know that alcohol (certain drinks in particular) helped shape the U.S.? You’ll learn all about it on our Drinking History Tour, where you’ll drink history to life! This three-hour educational tour is complete with historical impersonators, who will escort you through several famous establishments like Old Ebbitt Grill, Hotel Washington, and The Willard. Among many interesting facts, you’ll learn that the War of 1812, a White House party, two presidents and a funeral all had a particular drink in common. Can you guess what it was?
D.C. has tons of amazing places for you to experience, so we recommend you plan ahead. If you have a steps-tracker, be sure to wear it as you’ll no doubt exceed your minimum daily steps.
